From the Depths

Almost all of it is white and pale grey, laid on thick and rough. What comes out of the depth is what lies underneath: a rust-orange strand striking through from top to bottom at the left, dark edges at the corners, and in the middle a row of short black strokes standing like figures on a ridge.
