Feeling I

The first of three pictures in the same format, all built the same way: a dark band along the top, a large white trowelled field beneath it, a red strip at the bottom edge. Here a red trace stands upright in the white at the left, and at the lower left lies a dark passage with newspaper pasted into it, out of which the paint has run downward.
