Rust red across the whole surface, and over it a broad white sweep that comes in from the left and runs out of the picture at the upper right. A grey round form with combed lines lies at the lower left. On the right, small dark strokes stand in the red as though something were about to be written there — which suits a title that splits the German word “spruchreif”, ripe to be spoken, into two.
