The Small Format II

One of the two she photographed outdoors — the lawn is visible at the edge of the shot. The white body of paint does not fill the square: its edges are torn and irregular, and the dark stays all around it. It is laid on thick and rough, and just right of centre rust brown and green come through underneath in narrow strips.
